The 2009 NFL Week 4 Power Rankings have been released by Gambling911.com. These rankings represent a composite of odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl based on oddsmakers analyses across three different online sportsbooks. In Week 4 we see that, despite a New England Patriots win, the New York Giants have captured the number one ranking from the Pats.
The number in ( ) is last week's ranking.
We also list the best available payout odds for some of the top teams.
Here are our 2009 NFL Week 4 Power Rankings:
*1 (2) New York Giants - The best payout odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl could be found at SBG Global - $800 for every $100 bet. Some oddsmakers already had the Giants in the $500 price range.
*2 (1) New England Patriots - The mighty have fallen and this is great for the sports bettor who won't give in to the hype about the mighty having fallen. Sportsbetting.com was promising a $1000 payout for every $100 bet if New England were to win the 2010 Super Bowl. Gotta love those odds.
*3 (5) New Orleans Saints - This team is on fire. The best odds were found at SBG Global: $825 would be paid out for every $100 bet.
*4 (9) Baltimore Ravens - They were at +900 odds at a number of shops.
*5 (4) San Diego Chargers - The Chargers haven't lost much ground despite looking a little lackluster. They are now promising an $1100 pay day for every $100 bet if they win the 2010 Super Bowl.
*6 (6) Indianapolis Colts - The Colts are looking quite good yet they continue to hold on to the number 6 spot for three weeks straight. Sportsbetting.com was still listing Indianapolis with +1200 odds or a payout of $1200 for every $100 bet should they win the Super Bowl.
*7 (7) Minnesota Vikings - They hold onto the number 7 spot. SBG would reward futures bettors with a $1200 payout on every $100 bet if the Vikings win the 2010 Super Bowl.
*8 (3) Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers have the best value yet after falling 5 spots and starting the season 1-2. Sportsbetting.com had them at +1600 odds of winning the Super Bowl. That's a $1600 payout on a $100 bet Steelers fans!
*9 (8) Philadelphia Eagles - Pay around $1400 for every $100 bet.
*10 (10) New York Jets - Best payout would be $1800 for every $100 bet at Sportsbetting.com.

The Cincinnati Bengals make the biggest move upwards. The team they beat, Pittsburgh, had one of the biggest falls, though they remain in the top 10 and offer great value.
It's amazing that the 3-0 Denver Broncos have gotten such little respect in the Gambling911.com 2009 NFL Power Rankings. They move up a notch just to number 20 and were below teams like 0-3 Tennessee and the Seattle Seahawks. Go figure!
