You will not be able to bet on the FanDuel sportsbook app from the state of Nebraska for the foreseeable future. You can, however, bet with sites licensed outside the state of Nebraska.
Nebraska Sports Betting Status
Nebraska's Governor, Pete Ricketts, had expressed opposition to allowing sportsbooks to operate from the state and that is coming to fruition. The state will not be regulating mobile apps. Sites like BetUS will still be accessible to those 18 and up in the state.
You will be able to bet on sports in person near Omaha, courtesy of the Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Huskers are favored to win OVER 6 regular season games at -125 in 2023 (the UNDER is at -105).
This will be coach Matt Rhule's debut.
Athlon Sports says of the Huskers chances in 2023:
More than once during his introductory news conference, Rhule said he wanted to win right away. After six consecutive losing seasons, that’s what Husker fans want to hear. Though optimism always accompanies a new coach, the pieces and culture are in place for Nebraska to at least be competitive enough for bowl eligibility, which “should be the bare minimum,” says Rhule.
