Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl Odds Post Christmas 2022

There has been a lot of talk about the Minnesota Vikings being one of the top teams in the NFC and they continue to prove that to be the case.  Heading into Christmas (2022), the Vikings had the 4th shortest odds to win Super Bowl 57 in Glendale, Arizona.

The payout?  As low as $1800 (FanDuel), as high as $2800 (Wynn).  Our friends at BetOnline have odds on the Vikings winning the 2023 Super Bowl with payout odds of $2500 on a $100 bet as of Christmas and following their big win over the New York Giants Christmas Eve.

And what a win that was.

The Vikings edged the Giants 27-24 on Justin Joseph's game-ending franchise record 61-yard field goal.

“You don’t blink. You don’t flinch. You don’t waver," Joseph said immediately following the game.  He has cemented himself as one of the best kickers in the league with three game-winners made under 25 seconds in regulation so far this year.  He also has two overtime field goals this season.

"Because we know where we’ve been, and we know what we’re capable of," Joseph added.

Another noteworthy takeaway from this game for the Vikings: T.J. Hockenson had a career-high 13 catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns from Kirk Cousins.

Minnesota failed to cover here as the line was no lower than 3.5 and most books had moved onto the 4 ahead of gametime.  We had a number of 5.68 for this one, indicating a 1.5 to 2 point underlay.  While the NFL sampling for games with a line of 3.5/4 did not offer an edge where there were underlays, our sampling of college football games this season had the favorite going 12-3 Against The Spread in these situations.
