With the 2009-10 National Hockey League season opening Thursday, Hockey Betting fans have just a few days to place NHL future betting on the Stanley Cup, Conference and Division winners at betED.com.

Most hockey bettors won't be shocked to see the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings topping the list of Stanley Cup favorites.

The Penguins, who in June beat the Red Wings to win their first Stanley Cup since 1992, are at +550 odds, as are the Red Wings.

The Boston Bruins, who finished first in the Eastern Conference last season, are at +850 to win the Stanley Cup in NHL Futures Betting.

The San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks are both at +950, and the Washington Capitals are +1200.

There are three teams at +1800: The Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers.

Some longshots include the New York Islanders and Phoenix Coyotes, both at +9000, and the Atlanta Thrashers at +9500.

In NHL conference odds, the Penguins are +275 to win the Eastern conference crown, followed by the Bruins and Capitals, both at +550.

The Flyers are at +750 and the New York Rangers are at +950.

Detroit is favored to win the Western Conference, followed by the Blackhawks at +350 and the Sharks at +450.

The Canucks and Flames are both at +900 while the Anaheim Ducks are at +1000.

Check out betED.com for a full list of NHL Bets, including odds to win each division, and odds for Thursday's opening-day slate of games.
