There is good news and bad news for those betting sports from Iowa. The good news is you will soon be able to place bets with in-state apps. The bad news is that only licensed offshore sportsbooks will be taking wagers on your beloved Hawkeyes. In-state operators are prohibited from doing so.

Iowa recently amended its state law to permit operates licensing within the state, however, that language contained within that law prohibits taking bets on Iowa school teams, including the Hawkeyes and Cyclones.
