Atlanta beat Philadelphia 15-1 Sunday following a loss that ended an eight-game win streak.

Mike Soroka starts for the Braves Monday.  He comes into this matchup with an impressive 7-1, 1.92 ERA and he's coming off a no decision against the Pirates Wednesday.

What to expect?

We project Soroka should pitch well on Monday against the Mets.

The problem here is this line has dropped all the way from Atlanta -175 to -148.

The Braves are 8-1 in their last 9 games vs. a right-handed starter and the Mets are 3-11 in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a winning record.

But RotoWorld warns Soroka's "60:18 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 70 1/3 innings is good but not great and gives reason to believe Soroka's ERA will steadily climb throughout the season".

This could explain why we are seeing the drop in the line.

Soroka faces Zack Wheeler (5-4, 4.87 ERA).  He was tagged for nine runs (for fantasy owners, only five of those were earned) over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Yankees on Tuesday.

Remarkably, Wheeler has now allowed 13 home runs this season after allowing 14 all of last season and his ERA jumped from 4.61 to 4.87 as a result.

Back in Mid-May, Wheeler gave up 11 hits versus the Nationals, which became a new career high for him.  But he followed that one up with a stellar seven innings performance allowing just three runs in a no-decision.  He pitched deeper into the 7th inning after that one for a win versus the Tigers, permitting just three runs in that game as well.

Again, this line suggests the books see a Mets victory Monday.   We will continue monitoring.
