The Miami Marlins are an impressive 4-11 against the San Francisco Giants, and this trends shows little sign of letting up.

They have just won their last two games against the Giants and three of the last five.

At home, the Marlins have won their last six games against San Francisco.

The line is Marlins -103, Giants -106 and a total of 7.5 after opening at 8.5.  That total move should scare folks away from the OVER even though, on the surface at least, this one looks like it would go well into double digits.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Giants RH Tyler Beede (0-1, 13.50 ERA) vs. Marlins RH Sandy Alcantara (2-5, 4.50)

Beede is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to receive the spot start in the series finale. The 26-year-old has posted a 2.34 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in seven starts in the Pacific Coast League, but was shelled in three appearances with the big-league club earlier this month (12.60 ERA and 2.60 WHIP). "I don't need to be bigger than the moment I'm pitching in," Beede said, per the San Francisco Chronicle. "I need to just stay calm, execute pitches and not give the hitters too much credit."

Alcantana answered his best start of his young career with another difficult one on Saturday, as he countered a two-hit shutout with a five-run, six-hit effort over five innings in a 5-0 setback at Washington. The 23-year-old Dominican has fared better in Miami, posting a 2-3 mark with an ERA just above four while limiting the opposition to a .250 batting average. Alcantara has kept the ball in the park in each of the last two outings after being taken deep six times in his previous four.
