In anticipation of a legal threat from Absolute Poker, Gambling911.com has retained the legal services of a powerful Washington, DC firm, one that represents publishers and freelance writers before Congress and the Courts.

This week, the online poker room demanded an article be taken down which claimed one of its investors was under a sealed indictment in the US. Absolute Poker then threatened Gambling911 with a lawsuit.

The suit will also be precedent setting in light of the issues of free speech and freedom of the press that are at stake.

Gambling911.com has also demanded that Absolute Poker investigate how two former employees of the company - both of whose names have been associated with a widely publicized "insider cheating scandal - have been living the lives of millionaires on Costa Rican's west coast. The website has learned that Allan Grimard (AKA AJ Green) and Absolute founder, Tom Scott, are in the process of building a mansion in Los Suenos, Costa Rica. Grimard was overheard mocking the Absolute Poker scandal. He also recently bought a yacht with money that many allege belongs to Absolute customers.

While Absolute Poker has paid out customers they believe were affected by the "insider cheating scandal", much of the talk in Costa Rica where Absolute is related to how "those involved with Absolute Poker have been doing this for years". It is not clear how many others may have been involved in past cheating.

The Kahnawke Gaming Commission, which regulates Absolute Poker's business, is currently conducting an independent audit on the company.

Absolute Poker will be profiled in two major media publications in the next few weeks.
