How Has Improbable Run in the Mud?

It could be a deluge come post time for the 2019 Kentucky Derby.  With Improbable a slight favorite to win the Derby at +550 (or 5.5/1), we look at how he has fared on a sloppy track.

Past Results in the Mud

Improbable chased Omaha Beach around the sloppy track at Oaklawn Park for the Arkansas Derby but ultimately finished second. It is the son of City Zip’s only race on a wet track. yet, he did perform well and, the good news, Omaha Beach has been scratched from this race due to a breathing problem.

Heavy Rains Expected

Bands of heavy rain were moving into the Louisville area around 3 pm EST.   The rain was likely to be heavist right around post time.  The track will be sloppy regardless.
