Where Can I Bet the PGA Championship Online From Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island

You can bet the PGA Championship online from Massachusetts with any number of top offshore sportsbooks, many of which have been in business for 20 years now.

Betting on the PGA Championship

The 2019 PGA Championship was expected to be the most wagered on ever following Tiger Woods stunning come-from-behind Masters victory.  Some sportsbooks will be offering LIVE IN-PLAY betting, while all will have betting odds updated ahead of each round.  Early futures to win the PGA Championship are posted weeks prior to the event.

Massachusetts Sports Betting

The state of Massachusetts is considering licensing sportsbooks.  In January, Gov. Charlie Baker proposed a bill allowing sports fans to wager on professional games at both casinos and online on their smartphones.

“Expanding Massachusetts’ developing gaming industry to include wagering on professional sports is an opportunity for Massachusetts to invest in local aid while remaining competitive with many other states pursuing similar regulations,” Baker said in a statement. “Our legislation puts forth a series of commonsense proposals to ensure potential licensees are thoroughly vetted and safeguards are in place to protect against problem gambling and legal activity.”

The sportsbooks would require that gamblers be 21 years or older.  Betting on college and high school sports, E-sports, and amateur sports.

This means that offshore sportsbooks will remain in high demand for both the College Football and Basketball seasons, including the College Bowls and March Madness.

Maine Sports Betting

Maine independent Rep. Jeffrey Evangelos’s bill would allow federally recognized Indian tribes and others to conduct sports wagering. His bill would direct 24 percent of revenues to education funding. Republican Rep. Dustin White proposes allowing only in-person bets on sports events.

Connecticut Sports Betting

In Connecticut, the Tribes have a major say when it comes to gambling.  The Connecticut state attorney general last year claimed the Tribes do not have an exclusive right to sports betting.  The Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes say otherwise but are in talks with the state's governor.   Their legislative period is about to end.

Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire

Rhode Island already has sports betting from two casinos.  It will be debuting mobile wagering on sports by year's end.

Both Vermont and New Hampshire are reviewing proposed legislation to allow the activity.
