Columbus, OH - To date, the state of Ohio has never held a nationally televised poker tournament. That will change in a matter of weeks. Hollywood Casino Columbus is set to host the renowned Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) April 18-29.

The series offers a variety of tournaments with buy-ins as low as $90 and over $700,000 in guaranteed prize pool money.
HPT has awarded more than $100 million to poker enthusiasts far and wide over the years through its televised events. Local amateurs and traveling pros alike are expected to make the trip to The Buckeye State to take part in the series.
The event schedule at Hollywood Columbus is loaded with guaranteed prize pool money, from the opening $350 tournament with a $100,000 guarantee to the $1,650 Main Event with a $500,000 guarantee.
The nationally televised Main Event is sure to be the highlight of the series. In addition to the half-million-dollar guarantee, the final nine players of that tournament will take a seat under the bright lights of the HPT television set where 16 HD cameras will capture their every move. The footage will be edited after the event to a one-hour TV episode to air nationwide. Public spectators are welcome to sit in on the taping of that final table on Monday, April 29th.
"We have been looking forward to the Hollywood Columbus event for quite some time," says HPT marketing manager Korey Stewart. "There has been quite a bit of chatter about the event within the poker community since we announced it a few months back. Ohio has a great poker scene and we're anticipating a big turnout."

Each day of the event offers multiple tournaments at different price points. Among the specialty events on the lineup are a 7-Game Mix, Pot Limit Omaha, and a Tag Team event.
