His body was buried in a farm located on Yerba Buena street, very close to the toll on Route 32, where they would have made a pit.  Daria Extra broke the story late Thursday.

Close to a dozen individuals alleged to have been involved in Creighton's kidnapping back in September of last year were rounded up and arrested earlier this year in Costa Rica and Spain.

While the initial motive is believed to have been theft of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Creighton apparently recognized one of his captors.  It was at that time the group decided to kill him by placing a plastic bag over his head.  Creighton died of suffocation.

Creighton of Bridgeport, West Virginia, disappeared on September 24.  The kidnappers extorted around a $1 million from the man's wife.

The Prosecutor's Office out of San Jose reported that, in conjunction with the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), 11 raids were carried out in early January, 10 in Costa Rica and one in Spain.

In Spain, the Civil Guard captured a computer engineer named Morales Vega, his partner, Solís Chaves, and Vega's mother.

One of the individuals captured also had some ties to online gambling in Malta and worked in Bitcoin processing.
