Why They Go Deep
From ESPN.com: "Randy Bennett has another terrific shooting team and another slate of games that make you scratch your head. The win over Gonzaga on Tuesday is the one that stands apart, but like Belmont, you know Saint Mary's can play. In fact, the Gaels' next-best wins might be their close losses to Mississippi State and LSU."
Why Be Concerned
If they end up facing Auburn, will be tough and Saint Mary's should be between a +4 and +4.5 underdog in that one.
Who They Will Play
We initially had Auburn -5.5 versus Minnesota but it's looking more like they face off against Saint Mary's, which would appear to be the better team and a situation where the Tigers should be -4 or -4.5. They will likely only be a +2 dog versus Nevada and have a better shot of advancing into the weekend. Yes, Saint Mary's has the potential to burst a lot of bubbles, but if they end up meeting Duke ahead of the Sweet 16, we'd be foolish not to select the Blue Devils to advance.
