Bookmaker has Virginia winning by 8 points against Syracuse, covering what is now a -6 point Cavs spread.  The line had been -7, dropped to -5.5 and has since bounced back to -6.  Action  was 75% on UVA by mid-afternoon.

Gambling911.com was giving Syracuse a 58% chance of covering and counting this as a free pick

The Orange have played competitively against Virginia in the overall series..

This is only the second time of the season that Syracuse will play a home game as an underdog.

Another motivating factor for the win...From Syracuse.com:

Syracuse’s last four games have helped it solidify its NCAA Tournament resume, one that currently has the Orange universally projected into the field by a solid margin. Syracuse would eliminate even the wildest concerns with a win.

Aside from Bookmaker backing the other side, Sagarin also suggests the line should be UVA -8.  These factors are keeping us from boosting the Orange's chances any more than 58%.

2018-19 College Basketball Record: 10-8 (55.5%)
