In a letter issued February 6, 2019, New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) accuses the website of promoting offshore sportsbooks alongside licensed NJ gambling websites to residents of the Garden State.

New Jersey charges over $5000 for Web gambling affiliates to obtain a license.  In 2013, the state sent out similar letters warning affiliates they were prohibited from marketing offshore poker rooms and online casinos alongside links to gaming sites based out of the state. As a result, few established Internet gambling affiliates have opted to enter into deals with the NJ-based sites.

The DGE has also directed all New Jersey licensed casinos to cease conducting business with Oddsshark while referring this matter to the Division of Criminal Justice for possible legal action.
