Gambling911 has perused the Net to bring you some expert picks for the 2019 Pegasus World Cup
Paul Lo Duca of Americas Best Racing:
#5 Accelerate (9-5): Trainer John Sadler finally got the Breeders’ Cup monkey off his back when he won the Classic in November, and my sources say he’s feeling the best he’s ever felt ... meaning the horse.
#8 Gunnevera (8-1): He just seems to show up to the party every time. With anticipation of a fast pace, a horse who has won $1.8 million at Gulfstream Park will be rolling like freight train late.
#6 Tom’s d’Etat (20-1): My longshot in this race. He has tremendous numbers that can compete, especially if it rains, but seasoning is an issue. I think he’s a live longshot to hit the board.
Three of the experts at HorseRacingNation believe City Light (5-2) will be the winner.

Analysis: Accelerate is arguably in declining form due to lower speed figures, even though he won the Awesome Again (G1) and Breeders' Cup Classic. Visually and on paper he did not look like the same horse that won the Pacific Classic by a record 12 1/2 lengths. City of Light is the logical alternative, as he defeated Accelerate before at nine furlongs in the Oaklawn Handicap last April.
