Wynn Resorts to Offer Sports Betting in Massachusetts ....When it is Legalized

Wynn Resorts has announced a sports betting partnership with European-based wagering firm BetBull.

It plans to launch a sportsbook in its newly opened Springfield, Massachusetts casino. However, that state is yet to amend its laws allowing sports betting.

In May, the US Supreme Court shot down decades long prohibition of the activity. Each state now must amend its own laws. Massachusetts is among those looking to do so.

As part of the deal, Wynn will make a minority equity investment to acquire a 22.5% stake in BetBull.

Wynn has had its name tarnished over the past few months following allegations of sexual harassment against its then CEO and founder Steve Wynn. He was forced to step down.
