Conservative Hollywood actor and professional poker player James Woods, back on Twitter for the first time in a few years following the social media company's takeover by billionaire businessman Elon Musk, insisted on Wednesday he has no plans to leave again any time soon.

Woods tweeted:

"If there is anything we’ve learned from the corporate media, it’s don’t believe a word they say. You may notice that I didn’t explicitly state that I was leaving. I said I was exhausted. Amazing what a Tom Brady march to the goal line can do for one’s renewed optimism for life."

Woods revealed last week that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) had conspired to get him removed from Twitter.

"I literally just walked in the door. I was at the firing range, believe it or not. Which I guess now that I don't have any First Amendment rights, I'm glad that I still have some Second Amendment rights."

He says he will sue the DNC for "ruining his career".

Woods tweeted out what Musk claims to have recovered since taking over Twitter.

“The Democratic National Committee (DNC) requested that critics such as actor James Woods be booted from their site. Twitter complied and also banned others named on the DNC hit list. The Biden campaign employed the identical pressure tactics.”

Woods Loses Access to Account

The Hollywood actor learned he could no longer access his Twitter account in July of 2018 after the social media firm locked him out.  They cited a meme he posted that was shown to be a hoax.  He refused to take down the meme.

Woods received an email from the Twitter stating that the tweet in question “has the potential to be misleading in a way that could impact an election.”

At the time he had over 17 million followers.

Along with Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, Woods is among the most outspoken critics of Democrats and strongest supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump in the poker community.
