News that Nick Foles will be starting for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 as qarterback against Atlanta has sent the line down a half point to -2.5.

Ian Rapoport of the Rapsheet tweeted out Sunday afternoon:

The #Eagles plan to start QB Nick Foles on Thursday in the season opener, sources say. Carson Wentz (ACL, LCL) has done fantastic in rehab. But this is a long-term decision for the face of the franchise.

Foles started for the Eagles at quarterback against the Falcons in their 15-10 divisional round playoff win when he took over for an injured Wentz.

"Going in we knew he was a hell of a competitor," Falcons coach Dan Quinn said of Foles on Saturday. "I think just the accuracy, his ability to have poise under pressure to make the right decisions of where to go with the ball. I certainly commend him on that."

The line on this game had been -3.5 throughout much of August.  It opened at -4.
