Vikings 2010 Super Bowl Odds Now Second Shortest

Following news that Brett Favre had been made quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, their odds of winning the 2010 Super Bowl were slashed to 10/1 or +1000 at Sportsbook.com. They are tied as the second biggest favorite to win the 2010 Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers. The New England Patriots remained the 4/1 or +400 favorite at Sportsbook.com.

"It's a good deal," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com. "The Minnesota Vikings were already looking strong in the NFC with only the quarterback position questionable for the most part. Now that all changes with the signing of Favre."

Shapiro said yesterday that the odds on Minnesota winning the 2010 Super Bowl and 2009 NFC division odds would be cut further as more betting action comes in, and he was right.

"They were at 17/1 at most online sportsbooks yesterday and the odds are being drastically cut."

Nonetheless, 10/1 odds are still good.

"Lock them in now before they get slashed further," Shapiro cautions.
