The Dallas Cowboys will come into Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season with better than 3/1 odds of winning the NFC East, courtesy of the Eagles winning the Super Bowl last season. The value is certainly here. Dallas was at 30/1 odds of winning the Super Bowl.
What to Expect
The Cowboys have seven games against teams that made the playoffs in 2017, including two against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles. The path back to the postseason will be difficult and the offseason has not been great with free-agent losses and the release of Dez Bryant.
There have also been plenty of off-the-field distractions to start off the month of August, primarily involving the flag controversy. Dak Prescott's remarks, in particular, rubbed many the wrong way.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he expects Randy Gregory to be able to contribute to the defensive line rotation when the Dallas Cowboys open the season against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 9.
"I just know that his attitude, his want-to, his genuineness, those are things that I've heard players talk about but I would say it's more all the way up through the organization," Jones said. "Everybody here is rooting for him. He doesn't want any slack, but I know he sees the care that everybody has for him and I did notice some of his trademark skill out there on a couple of snaps he had out there today.
