PITCHING MATCHUP: White Sox RH James Shields (4-11, 4.26 ERA) vs. Angels LH Tyler Skaggs (7-6, 2.68)

Shields took the loss his last outing despite giving up just two runs - one earned - and seven hits in seven innings.  Shields has made 15 career starts against the Angels, going 7-4 with three complete games, one shutout and a 3.10 ERA.

Skaggs is coming off a loss to Houston on Friday in which he yielded three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings.
