Real money casino gambling in the state of Mississippi is big business. Mississippi’s State Revenue Department released May’s revenue figures and the amount of money that the state’s casinos took in collectively was $181 million. Revenue receipts topped $107 million at the 12 Mississippi casinos located along and around the Gulf of Mexico. This was a substantial 11 percent gain from a revenue figure of $96 million for May of 2017. This was also the eight time over the past 12 months that the Gulf Coast casino region posted a revenue gain over the previous time frame.
