Conservative radio host and 2018 Vice Presidential candidate on the Libertarian ticket Wayne Allyn Root talks to Breitbart Radio about Monday's landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to allow sports betting in all 50 states.
Root, a long time special contributor to the Gambling911.com website, also made his name as a successful sports handicapper in Las Vegas so Monday's decision hit much closer to home, in a good way, as he tells it to Breitbart Radio.
"I argued, the way the judges were talking and questioning, (that) we would get a full repeal of prohibition to sports gambling."
And that's exactly what happened.
"Sports gambling is now legal on a state by state basis," Root explains. "It's still up to each state's legislation to decide. But it is now legal in the United States. It is no longer banned. It is no longer prohibited. I think this is a great thing for America, great thing for freedom, a win for state's rights..."
