2018 Risen Star Stakes Betting Odds

Gambling911.com has your 2018 Risen Stakes betting odds for this weekend with Instilled Regard installed as the favorite at 8/5 odds.

The Risen Stakes is an important prep for the Louisiana Derby and Kentucky Derby and ultimately the Triple Crown.  The race’s namesake went on to win the Preakness and Belmont Stakes in 1988. It takes place in New Orleans at the Fair Grounds Race Course.

This is a grade II race run on one-sixteenth miles of dirt open to three-year-olds.  There is a $400,000 purse attached to it.

Instilled Regard may be the favorite but history is against this Lecomte Stakes winner.  Over the past two decades only twice has the winner of the Lecomte Stakes managed to repeat his winning effort in the Risen Star, the second leg of the Fair Grounds' 3-year-old Kentucky Derby prep series.
