Brady Suffered Cut on Hand but No Impact on Betting

Oddsmakers have been reluctant to move the line down to -7 on Sunday's AFC Championship game between the Jaguars and Patriots despite news that quarterback Tom Brady has suffered a cut on his hand. Most books were holding at New England -7.5 and even -8.

Brady suffered the injury following a collision with another player in Wednesday' practice.

The cut to Brady's hand was first reported by NBC 10 in Providence.

Brady is listed as questionable for Sunday's game and has been wearing gloves in limited practice the days leading up to the AFC Championship.

"I'm not talking about that," was all that Brady said when asked about his injured hand.

The Patriots are the favorites to win Super Bowl 52 at EVEN odds.  Jacksonville was listed at 8/1 odds.

Fantasy Rankings Are Now Part of NFL Betting

NFL betting used to be built mostly around teams. Bettors looked at spreads, totals, moneylines, injuries, weather and coaching matchups. Those pieces are still there, but the modern football betting board is much more player-driven than it used to be.
