Poker Promoter Tied to Organized Crime Ring Sentenced

Isok Aronov, 33, was sentenced this week to a year and a day behind bars for his role in organized high stakes poker games for an organized criminal syndicate.

Aronov’s role, according to law enforcement, was to set up the games while providing “massage girls” to give players back and shoulder rubs. 

Brooklyn federal prosecutors said Aronov and the others running the spot were hooked up with an Eastern European crime ring known as the “Thieves in Law.”

Aronov had enters a guilty plea in relation to a charge of gambling debt collection.
