Western Michigan vs. Northern Illinois Betting Odds

The Wolverines and Spartans aren’t the only game in town when it comes to the great state of Michigan.  Western Michigan comes into Wednesday night as a +8 underdog against Northern Illinois but enjoys a 6-4 winning record Straight Up.  They are just 4-6 Against The Spread and there is a good chance the oddsmakers are looking to balance this one out a bit.  That’s because the Huskies should only be a -6.5 favorite (tops) according to the betting Power Ratings.

There’s one small problem however.

The Broncos are just 1-7 Against The Spread in their last 8 meetings in Northern Illinois and an abysmal 2-13-1 ATS in their last 16 meetings.

Don’t let that be a deterrent though as WMU won their game against Northern Illinois last season while the Huskies are just 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

85% of the bets are coming in on Western Michigan and the books are reacting by having brought the line down two points over these past few days.
