The Cleveland Browns odds of winning the 2018 Super Bowl were set at 300/1 for a potential payout of $30,000 on a $100 bet. They were now a high priced -170 favorite to win OVER 4.5 regular season games just days before their Week 1 game.

The Browns will almost certainly be better than they were a year ago, when they went 1-15 in a relatively transparent attempt to bottom out and amass draft picks. They invested in veterans via trade and free agency, which should reduce the number of snaps Hue Jackson has to give replacement-level talent. And they should be luckier. That should be enough to push the Browns back toward mediocrity, but to be great, they'll need to improve exponentially.
