We've been asked again why Two Plus Two does not openly support the PPA. I have explained that our stance towards the PPA is neutral, and the reasons as to why this is the case will not be repeated here. But that does not mean we are working against them. In fact, we have spent much time and effort, plus a fair amount of our own finances, to assure that this organization can be as good as possible and as it needs to be. Furthermore, PPA spokespeople and members have quite a presence on these forums, and we expect this to continue and it is something which we approve of. If that was not the case, no PPA representatives would be allowed to participate here.

Anyway, in our quest to help solve the problems caused by the UIGEA and other issues, yesterday, we met with an organization that is not only addressing the concerns we have and which virtually all poker players have, but we feel they are handling these matters quite effectively. That organization is iMEGA.

Also, from our point of view, iMEGA and the PPA are not (or certainly should not be) competing organizations. Rather they appear to be complementary in many ways. Specifically, iMEGA has a broader mission than the PPA and appears more focused on litigating in the courts, while the PPA is more focused on political lobbying, and as far as we can see, much work needs to be done in both of these areas.

But we also feel that iMEGA's work in the arena of online poker has been, and will continue to be very effective, and thus we are giving iMEGA our full endorsement. In the not too distant future, our full endorsement will become apparent to those who visit www.twoplustwo.com, and in the next few days there will be banners linking to the iMEGA website as well as its own iMEGA Forum. We are also prepared, once our final issues with the PPA are completely resolved, to do something similar for them.

For those who want a little more information about the iMEGA Mission: The Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association was founded to foster cooperation between the online industry and government at all levels, and to promote innovation, openness and freedom on the Internet.

Best wishes,

Mason
