Vladimir Shchemelev Wins 2017 WSOP $10K 207 Triple Draw Championship

St. Petersburg, Russia native Vladimir Shchemelev has won the 2017 WSOP $10K 207 Triple Draw Championship and the $193,484 top prize.

"[I was] very calm," said the 44-year-old banker through a translator after his win. "Not so much pressure as the first time. The first bracelet was tough. It took me like nine final tables before I won my first bracelet. It was important for me to win my first bracelet, so I was kind of nervous. Today, I was very calm."

He was able to overcome 688 players.

This is Shchemelev’s second World Series of Poker bracelet.
