Classic Empire Will Not Run 2017 Belmont Stakes Due to Foot Abscess

Pulling favorite Classic Empire from Saturday’s Belmont Stakes has resulted in complete upheaval of the odds as he was the near EVEN-odds favorite.

With Classic Empire out, Epicharis and Irish War Cry were now the co-favorites to win this year’s Belmont Stakes at 7/2 each.

The 2^nd place finisher at this year’s Kentucky Derby, Lookin At Lee, was coming in at 4/1.
