Malta Gaming Authority Suspends Online Gambling License

The world’s largest online gambling jurisdiction, Malta, has taken the necessary steps to suspend the gaming license of CenturionBet just one month after had attempted to sell 80% of its operations for €12m to online gambling operator SKS365.

Italian-based SKS365 later claimed it receives these types of offers regularly and suggested it had not taken the request seriously.

The Malta notice goes on to confirm it did “indefinitely suspend all gaming operations, cease to register new players, suspend all transactions on all websites, including deposits and withdrawals,

The company expressed “deep regret” while claiming it “acted in full compliance” with its regulatory obligations.

MGA (Malta Gaming Authority) found formal irregularities in the signing of contracts with representatives / consultants of CenturionBet and its trademark Bet1128, indicating that these subjects had not been reported and Previously authorized by the Maltese Authority as per regulations, violating Article 11 paragraph 4.
