The Rock Says He’s Running for US President…. With Tom Hanks?

Hosting the SNL Finale Saturday night, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed he will be running for President of the United States in 2020….well sort of.

BetOnline

Actor Tom Hanks joined Johnson and as the two discussed their plans to “make America great again” while snubbing Alec Baldwin, who also appeared on stage.  Baldwin has made headlines all season long with his brilliant candidate-turned President of the United States Donald Trump impersonation.

This past week BetOnline began offering odds on whether The Rock would be elected the next President in 2020 following an interview in which Johnson claimed to be mulling over the idea.  According to a recent poll, Johnson has a five-point lead over Trump.

From Public Policy Polling:

“We also looked at Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s prospects if he were to run for President as a Democrat. 36% of voters see Johnson favorably to 13% with a negative view of him, although 50% of voters have no opinion about him either way. Both Democrats (38/15) and Republicans (31/17) see him positively. Johnson would lead Trump 42/37 in a prospective contest, and wins over 15% of people who supported Trump last fall.”
