2017 Preakness Winning Picks

Always Dreaming was expected to win Saturday’s Preakness Stakes in his quest to become the second horse in three years to win a Triple Crown.  No doubt he has the goods as an EVEN odds favorite at Bookmaker (down from -140).

Always Dreaming keeps winning but it’s also the dynamic duo of trainer Todd Pletcher and jockey John Velazquez that add to this horse’s value.

But speaking of jockeys, Julien Leparoux has won multiple Breeders Cup and hopes to work his magic in Saturday’s Preakness on board Classic Empire.

Despite finishing 4th in the Kentucky Derby, many observers believe the mud and poor start out of the gate contributed to Classic Empire’s lackluster performance.  As such, he is the one to beat just shy of 3-1 odds.   A trifecta should certainly be in order here.

There is talent in this field, some of it fresh (a la Conquest Mo Money) but Always Dreaming and Classic Empire are definitely the two standouts here.
