The current odds of Gunnevera winning the 2017 Preakness Stakes were set at 12-1.
Gunnevera finished the Kentucky Derby 7th and the Florida Derby 3rd in his previous race.
David Grening of the Daily Racing Form reported that Gunnevera “blew out” three furlongs in 43.69 seconds. According to Grening, the colt's move won't be recorded as an official workout. The move was “more of an open gallop at the end of what was a very leisurely gallop.”
