The payout on Hence winning this year’s Preakness Stakes would be $150 for every $10 bet or $1500 for every $100 bet.
Hence started from one of the most favorable positions at this year’s Kentucky Derby but still managed to finish 11th. Whether the muddy track had an impact, we may never know. His previous start was a 1st place finish in the Sunland Derby but prior to that finished 7th at the Southwest Stakes. These were both Grade 3 races. Consistency does not appear to be Hence’s strong suit.
