The payout on Gunnevera winning this year’s Preakness Stakes would be $100 for every $10 bet or $1000 for every $100 bet.
Gunnevera proved to be a disappointment at this year’s Kentucky Derby with a 7th place finish. The Fountain of Youth winner “blew out” three furlongs in 43.69 seconds in morning training Tuesday.
Trainer Antonio Sano was happy with the way Gunnevera quickened for his final three furlongs.
“His work before the Derby was slower than I would have liked,” Sano said. “This was much better.”
