State of Honor had odds of winning the Kentucky Derby that would pay $520 for every $10 bet. He was one of the Derby’s biggest long shots.
State of Honor had a post position of number 6, which has yielded two wins in Kentucky Derby history (12 in the money finishes).
State of Honor is interesting in that he hasn’t won a race as of yet but has still managed to finish in the top three in each of his last seven. That is a trifecta bet if we ever saw one.
And we are talking top races from the Florida Derby with a 2nd place finish to the Tampa Bay Derby, also with a second place finish. The Mucho Macho Man Stakes was also a second place finish.
