365Action.com Ring Leaders Get Off With a Misdemeanor

Billed at the time as an epic takedown of a multi-nation crackdown on illegal gambling, the men charged with running 365Action.com back in 2015 got off this week with a slap on the wrist.

Southern California residents Julio Alvarenga and Andres Arriaga both pled guilty to a first-degree attempt to promote gambling.

The Queens DA’s office filed the charges. In the state of New York, such activity is considered a Class A misdemeanor.

Arriaga was on the run for nearly two months before surrendering to police. He was recently released on bail.

15 others were charged in connection with the case that stretched from New York to California to Costa Rica. The other co-defendants fates will soon be determined.
