Tony Romo to be Released by Cowboys Thursday: Latest Broncos, Texans Odds

Tony Romo will be officially released by the Dallas Cowboys organization on Thursday, thus opening up the possibility that another franchise could improve their chances for a post season with Romo’s assistance.

Teams likely to target Romo include the Houston Texans (25/1 odds of winning Super Bowl 52) and the Denver Broncos (15/1 odds of winning Super Bowl 52).

Romo will leave the Cowboys as the franchise leader in yards passing and touchdowns.  He lost the starting job to rookie Dak Prescott after breaking a bone in his back during the preseason.   With Prescott at quarterback, Dallas finished the season 13-3.

Romo threw for 34,183 yards and 248 touchdowns while in Dallas.  He will enter the market at the age of 37.
