Marshall takes a pay cut in annual average to stay in East Rutherford and join a contender.

Coming off an injury-plagued season in Chicago, Marshall had a career year in 2016 at age 31 with the Jets.

ESPN.com noted that, by acquiring Brandon Marshall, the Giants now have a big-bodied playmaker that can take defensive pressure away from star WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Marshall, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, is considered one of the most prolific receivers in the game -- only 59 receptions shy of 1,000 .

The Giants latest odds to win Super Bowl 52 were coming in at 25-1.
