The grade II event open to three-year-olds willing to race one and one-sixteenth miles on the dirt, it offers a purse of $400,000.

This race is an important prep for the upcoming Kentucky Derby and in fact has resulted in three winners going on to win both the Derby and Preakness and another winning the Derby and Belmont Stakes.

The favorite to win this year’s Fountain of Youth is Irish War Cry at 5-2 odds, followed closely by Gunnevera at 7-2 odds and  Practical Joke at 3-1 odds.
