One of the most stable lines we have seen for any Super Bowl, the number for Super Bowl 51 has remained unchanged across the board at -3 New England.  The line initially opened at -1.5 and quickly jumped to -3 where it has remained for the past two weeks.

The total has shown some minor shifts between 58 and 58.5, settling in at 58 across the board the past few days.

Books were seeing even heavier exposure with the Patriots spread than last week with nearly 65 percent of the public backing New England compared to 35 percent backing the Falcons spread. The books are fearful of crossing over the -3 threshold, fearing a tight game.

Both the total and money line action for Super Bowl 51 was balanced as of Sunday morning.

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
