Warm Up Props, Coin Toss

The coin toss is probably the most popular of the Super Bowl prop bets year after year offering odds that are essentially 50/50.  The key to the coin toss wager is finding the best price (i.e. -105 vs. paying -115 for each side) and finding the best options.  Variations of this proposition include whether the team that calls the coin toss wins the game, for example.

Entertainment or Novelty Bets

These include everything from the Halftime Show wager, the length of the National Anthem, the color of the Gatorade Bath, and then there are a bunch of quirky props customized for each Super Bowl.  This year there is a popular prop bet on the number of times Deflategate will be mentioned during the broadcast as well as how often they show Tom Brady’s wife.  We would be remiss in noting that there are a handful of US President Donald Trump related props as well.

Scoring Props

There are so many of these including the 1st and last score of the game bet, what the first score will be, how many touchdowns, how many field goals, the longest field goal kicked, etc..

Margin of Victory

Known for its lucrative payouts, simply bet the scoring differential at the conclusion of the game (i.e. Patriots win by 34-27, the Margin of Victory winner would be within the 7 point range).  Some books were offering Margin of Victory for each quarter.

Player Props

These wagers are broken down by each player, the most popular of which is the Super Bowl MVP prop bet.  Books often will break this bet down by position (example: quarterback prop bets).

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
