An artificial intelligence created by Carnegie Mellon’s Tuomas Sandholm has demolished four top poker pros.

Libratus was laying waste to real live poker pros as part of a tournament taking place over the course of this month. Sandholm, a professor of computer science, helped develop the bot along with his student, Noam Brown.

Libratus won $800,000 as a result.  No word on what he plans to do with that $800,000.
