Tournament Schedule Sees Major Boost at Americas Cardroom

Love tournaments? Then 2017 is designed for you. At Americas Cardroom, we’re thrilled to bring you a bigger, better tournament schedule starting Monday, January 9th.

The enhancements start with a direct injection of prize pool money into the daily morning schedule. We’re talking $40,000 in brand new guarantees spread throughout the morning. This change is important as while we’re US-friendly, we also welcome players from all corners of the globe. Our bigger morning schedule (in terms of Eastern Time) means that those in Europe, Australia and elsewhere can jump on at a time that works for them too.

Our second big change is over $100,000 in guaranteed prize pools added to Mondays. Why Mondays? We wanted to continue that winning feeling made famous by our big Sunday schedule, which features a $115,000 Sunday Special, a $35,000 PLO Sunday Special, and, quite frequently, a Million Dollar Sunday.

Saturdays are also growing. Our famous Saturday 6-Pack doubles in size to include 12 big tournaments. We’ve renamed it Saturday 12-Pack (clever, we know) and we can’t wait to see how big these prize pools grow thanks to our constantly growing community.

But it’s not just about growing our tournament schedule. It’s about innovating with something new. And we’ve done just that with Top 10 Tournaments. In each of these tourneys, instead of playing down to a final table, the tournament will end as soon as 10 players are left. When that happens, the prize pool is distributed evenly, with each of the 10 receiving 10%.

There’s a lot happening in the multi-table tournament world, but Sit & Go games are also under the spotlight. Sit & Go 2.0 arrives at Americas Cardroom in March and is already generating major excitement.

With Sit & Go 2.0, players participate in a pre-game, before the first flop. The goal of the game is for each player to avoid a red card as they flip over their single cards, one by one. With each red card avoided, the prize pool and number of players paid increases. There is also a progressive jackpot component for life-changing cash.  It’s the next evolution of poker and it’s already changing everything.

There’s even more to get excited about, so we recommend checking out Americas Cardroom, for all the info.
