Brian Hastings Retires From Poker

Big name poker pro Brian Hastings, who has earned over $6 million in live tournaments and online poker play, says he is leaving the game of poker for good to focus full time on his new business venture UniTea.

“I can remember seeing therapists four and five years ago taking career inventory tests and talking about how I needed to move on from poker to be happy,” Hastings told OnlinePoker.net.

Hastings nearly left the game seven years ago after being accused of cheating.  The now defunct online card room Full Tilt Poker would eventually clear him from any wrongdoing but the damage had already been done.

Full Tilt would late be forced out of the US market as part of series of sweeping indictments in 2011.  Hastings had to move to Canada as a result.

Ultimately it may have been love that did him in.  Hastings hot new girlfriend keeps him plenty occupied it would seem....along with the business.
