The Saints did win their game against Carolina at home last month 41-38 but had dropped four of the last five games in the series. New Orleans has covered in four of the last five games of this series.
New Orleans RB Mark Ingram has recorded four touchdowns in his last three road contests.
The Saints are a plus-2 in turnover ratio while the Panthers are minus-7 (fourth-worst in NFL).
Takeaways
Both teams lost in last minute heart-breakers last week.
Carolina had been on a two-game win streak prior to that loss against Kansas City. They still believe there is time to get back on track assuming a win Thursday night.
"We've got a good team," Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly said. "When you look at the season, it's not where you want to be but it's where we're at now. We've got to do our best to get this thing moving in the right direction."
The Saints lost to Denver last week with four turnovers a key reason.
"Some lessons in our league are learned the hard way," New Orleans coach Sean Payton said. "The key is we have a quick turnaround. It's important it doesn't affect the next game."
