2016 World Series Final Betting Odds Game 7 Cubs vs. Indians

It’s the 2016 World Series final game to determine the winner of this classic featuring two ball clubs that have not won in over a half a century (or, in the case of Chicago, an entire century).  We have your Cubs-Indians Game 7 betting odds and analysis below.

What are the 2016 World Series Game 7 Odds

If starting pitching determines the winner of this year’s World Series, The Cubs feature a line of -115 to -118 and Indians +105 with a total of 6.5.  Note that four of the last six games in this World Series have gone UNDER 6.5.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cubs RH Kyle Hendricks (1-1, 1.31 ERA) vs. Indians RH Corey Kluber (4-1, 0.89)

Hendricks, who won 16 regular-season games, took a no-decision in Game 3 of the World Series when he allowed six hits and two walks in 4 1/3 scoreless innings.

Kluber has struck out 15 in 12 innings during the World Series while allowing just one run in his two victories.

More Cubs vs. Indians Trends

The UNDER is 11-2 in CLE last 13 playoff games, 12-3-1 in CLE last 16 overall and, as mentioned above, 4-2 in the last six games using the current 6.5 total.

Early Game 7 World Series Betting Action

While balanced on the money line, 86 percent of the early total betting action was on the UNDER, which is highly unusual with a number below 7. The books were yet to take this total down to 6 while some were still holding at 7.  Most books were offering the total at 6.5 as of Wednesday morning.

World Series Ratings Bonanza

The Indians-Cubs World Series Game 5 ratings (23.6 million viewers) helped give this World Series the best start since 2004.  It remains to be seen whether Wednesday night’s final will help the 2016 World Series shatter previous records.   Sunday’s Game 5 also beat out Sunday Night Football by more than 5 million viewers.
